Jennifer Secrist Goran began her tribal bellydance training in San
Francisco in 1989 with well known American Tribal Style founder
Carolena Nericcio, director of FatChanceBellyDance (www.fcbd.com).
From Jennifer's first class she was struck by the presence and poise
of the dancers and the powerful, organic feel of a group of women
communicating and creating a dance form that exists only in the
moment. Since then she has studied a variety of styles and forms,
but, always comes back to the group improvisational format of tribal
style belly dance. She has been instrumental in establishing high
caliber improvisational groups in both Florida and Colorado and was
among the first dancers in her region to be honored with the GS
Certification thru FCBD. She is known for her strong technique and
gentle format and strives to bring out the beautiful, powerful and
dynamic tribal dancer that lurks in all of us.
